Hi again,
Spent an hour ,late Sunday , assessing some early cutflower sdlgs.These are third year down.
Main criteria when making the cross was earlyness and stem length.
All are sdlg x sdlg — all have either Malvern City , Toorak Gold or both in their breeding to give tall stems.
Some are almost too tall, can become top heavy in a rain – frost combination.
Next step is checking their openning from bud.
