Sunsets along the Kapiti coast NZ

Hello Daffnetters

John and Dave are correct about the magnificent sunsets that we who live on this coast experience. Traditionally such phenomenon occur when Australia has bush fires or our volcanic mountains errupt. This has been the coldest, wettest winter for over 30 years and the sunsets coincided with the onset of this weather. Just when I wondered if there was any link, the mayor of Nelson came on National Radio and bemoaned the smog caused by rural Nelsonians cutting trees and lighting fires to keep themselves warm this winter. Nelson is directly West of here.
I rest my case.
