This is an interesting contrast.
The short vase is Yellow Gold , the established market leader here for earlys.
It is the variety I featured about 2 weeks ago, — almost finished now.
The very tall vase is sdlg 06 — 164 , extremely tall and it openned well from tight bud.
However Yellow Gold is still the best openner from tight bud I have seen.
Both are in the same vase , 164 is almost twice the lenghth.
