Flooding rain in East Texas

The first photo is from half the water draining out of our front yard/ daffodil field. The second photo is kind of hard to tell but basically all of our lower fields are standing in water several inches deep. We have gotten another 2&1/2″ of rain today, more coming and in the last nine days have now received about 10 inches of rain or 25 CM.
This is supposed to be our dry season where the bulbs are slow cooked in dry soil. I love the cooler days but all this water will probably trigger really early root growth in the bulbs. Keith Kridler Mt. Pleasant, Texas

  1. This looks almost like Central Missouri – even down to the type of foliage! Chris Durrill
