The patio and lachenalias again .
The house is almost at the top of an Otaki beach sand-dune , very good views, almost frost free.
HOWEVER, for the first time since the bird bath has been on the patio , about 10 years , the birds
could not have an early morning splash ; the bird bath was frosted over .
Not just once , probably 5 or 6 mornings , it has been a cold , frosty winter.
