Hi Daffnetters,
The Central Daffodil Group held our final show of the season in Palmerston North , today , Sat 3 October .
This was about the normal time for our late show , but with the very early season we have had , the
500 blooms was a very pleasing turnout .
A one day show meant a long day but all members made a big effort and we had our biggest
number for lunch since our group started .
I had very few blooms in the competitive classes so had a busy camera day — will feed them through
over the next few days . a lot of people with the flowers .
Starting with the champion bloom .

Wayne has had a splendid season , winning champion bloom at the 3 major shows in the country ;
the National shows in the North and South Islands and the one in the Middle — our Central Show .
Look at the rim of this flower ; very hard to get a serrated rim like this without a blemish …
We all have sentimental attachments to certain flowers ; Kasia has been around for many years
and was my first Champion bloom , ( small Lower Hutt show ) about 25 years ago .
It still has the goods — welll done Wayne …
