Happy Thanksgiving

Although we live inside the city limits of Mt. Pleasant, Texas we have planted screens of greenery to the point that in most photos we appear to live in a jungle.
The wide angle shot is the view we have looking out our dining room window toward downtown Mt. Pleasant. We had a light frost this morning but still no damage to tender plants yet so far this fall.
Paper Whites have been blooming since the first week in November in this spot outside our dining room. I have moved several thousand of these down to the lower fields the last couple of years as the scent or aroma from this drift is over powering on the warmer nights in the fall:-))
We got early blooms and early growth due to all the rainfall this year. We are approaching six feet of rainfall this year or nearly 2 meters!
Anyway I hope everyone enjoys the fall weather or early summer down under!

  1. Thank you, Keith. for the picture of your paperwhites. The florets seem bigger than the ones I recall growing all around my hometown, Beaumont. Do all of yours look like this or do you have more than one kind?
What a wonderful thought it is to imagine so much fragrance.
