N. viridiflorus with ruler

Perhaps those who have not seen N. viridiflorus are unaware how small the blooms are. Here it is with a ruler marked in inches. (1 inch = 2.54 cm). Interesting also are the prominent mucro tips, even on these very narrow petals. These blooms are very long lasting, and have a strange odor, something I find akin to Erlicheer and some other tazettas, but differing subtly, with fewer pleasant overtones. The weather here has been in the 60s-70s in the day, and the 40s at night. Melissa
