Hello Fellow Dafflovers,
Seasons greetings to our many Daffodil Friends in New Zealand and overseas. We are celebrating Christmas in our usual way with our small family gathered together at our home in Matangi. On Xmas morning we have breakfast together at Tracey’s home which is next door so not too far to go, followed by presents under the Tree. Breakfast this year is a bit different – pizza from an outdoor oven built by son-in-law Bruce. Then friends gather at our place for a pre lunch drink, followed by a light lunch. Our main meal is always evening – a bit different this year, primarily sea food. On Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) we BBQ a turkey by the pool – it will be warm enough to swim this year, the pool is at 29C. After all this celebration we will have plenty of calories for the bulb lift which starts on December 28!
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at Murphys. Bob and Nancy and their team have put together a very interesting programme which we are looking forward to hearing and seeing. They deserve our support!
Our trip is brief this time around as the bulbs will be waiting to be planted on our return.
