I have a friend in Zhangzhou, Fujian, China, who’s working on his PhD at the agricultural university here.  Zhangzhou is the home of the tazetta shui xian hua, the “water spirit flower” litterally translated, the Chinese sacred lily, N. Chinensis Roen.

He’s looking for ‘Soleil d’Or’  bulbs, 2000 seed and 1000 blooming.  He believes that there is a variety of color variations in this bloom.  Is that the case?

What is an an economical source for these bulbs?  I’d guess a southern hemisphere origin. Are they available now? I’d like to send him some to help with his research.
