N. tazetta ‘#4’ was collected in Crete. Most that I collected have full and overlapping petals but I like the starry appearance here. The bulb was partially exposed on the hillside and it was easy to collect but I had no idea what the flower would be like. It flowers later than some of the others and is somewhat shorter than the others too. All those I collected had strongly colored coronas but crosses between these have yielded some with very soft creamy coronas.
