what to do with blooms in the cold

Hello everyone,

Another stupid question:  In the past couple of weeks, I was enjoying watching N. cantabricus blossoms coming out, growing in the flower bed outside of our kitchen window.  Since yesterday, we (in Germany) have been gripped by very low temperatures (during the night minus 13 degrees Celsius and during the day “highs” of near zero) and lots of nice snow.  I also have paperwhites with their blooms still in their tightly closed scapes.  What should I do with the cantabricus and what should I do with the paper whites?  Cut them and enjoy them indoors?  Cover them and if so, with what?  Or, ride out the freeze?  Or anything else?

Merry Christmas to all of you,
Niels
