tiz the season again to ask what folks recommend for a digital camera
i am looking for two opposed features – good macro for up close shots of flowers in gardens, and landscape shots for when on trips as my vision has deteriorated, i have a really hard time determining if a shot is in crisp focus; i miss the view finder focus guides of old
i still like my Lumix as i love the lens and its lack of gop, and am considering upgrading within the line but i’m open to suggestions

Hi Sara,
I am guessing that you want a digital camera, right? I think you will find that there are many cameras available that will fit the bill you have described. I guess you need to ask yourself two questions. 1) Do I want a digital SLR camera? SLR cameras can use different lenses, while other cameras have one lens. With a SLR camera, you can buy lenses to do whatever you want. 2) How much do I want to pay? With optics you really do get what you pay for in most cases.
I am guessing that you wanted a camera with one lens, and not interchangeable lenses. Below is a link showing popular macro cameras. “Macro” allows you to focus close up on subjects such as flowers. I hope this helps.
