The first daff appeared in this Chicago suburb today – Toby the First. It’s uncommonly warm and lots more will pop tomorrow.
I received the attached Hallmark card from a friend who moved from Chi to Ky. and is now a member of the Kentucky Daffodil Society. It is by Marjolein Bastin, a Dutch artist who has lots of interesting flower art listed on the web. There was a nice jigsaw puzzle in 2003 with daffs by Marjolein, now available on eBay.
