Flying

Friends,
Another piece of advice when carrying flowers.
It is best to carry flowers dry. They become flacid and are less likely to be rubbed or bruised. It may take a couple of hours to recover when you get the flowers in water but its worth it. I sometimes think the infusion of water makes the flowers grow a bit too.
Travelling to Australia the flowers are often out of water for 18 hours but they seem to recover well. The only thing that kills them is travelling in hot weather. I don’t think that is a problem at the moment.
Pack all your things in your case and carry your box of flowers instead of your normal hand luggage and you may not have to pay an extra charge.
I do have a flower opening at the moment. I had hoped that some of last year’s imports may have been showable. This one will be too small.
Dave
See you Thursday.
