bobspottshybrid.doc I found the attached photo online, and think it is gorgeous. Does anyone know if this Bob Spotts cultivar or any others like ‘Mesa Verde’ are available anywhere? I’ve looked but cannot find.
Thanks,
Tracey

Hi Tracey,
One of my hybridizing goals has been to infuse green into show-quality daffodils. I’m pleased that you find that seedling attractive. I’m especially fond of it myself. I only wish it would multiply faster! Slowness of bulb division seems to be a characteristic of seedlings bred using the green species Narcissus viridiflorus. There are only a couple of bulbs of this seedling as yet, though it has been several years since its initial blooming. It is one of several beautiful seedlings I’ve bred from Brian Duncan’s lovely ‘Triple Crown’. The green and the twin florets come from the seedling (‘Actaea’ x N.viridiflorus) which was its pollen parent.
As for ‘Mesa Verde’, I should have a few bulbs to sell soon. Should you or anyone be interested, please contact me privately.
