Hi Daffnetters ,
Another batch of tazettas , photos taken at Wilfs about ten days ago , so still early season ..
Wilf has many ( dozens ) of tazettas out at the moment and making sdlg selections is not easy ..
They allhave good and bad points ; just what are we looking for .
We were discussing the true proportions that a miniature should have , particularly relating to
multi heads , where the number of flowers on the head definetely affects how we view the balance
of the flower .Stem length is alo relative if they are truely miniatures .
In the group of 3 flowers , they are — left — to –right .

Sol is the one you will all know ; quite clearly the seedling is very much smaller and well under
the accepted 50 mm size for miniatures .
With quite a full head , it looked well balanced on a 10 — 12 inch stem , — is that to tall
for a miniature — seldom in shows are they far above the short vases .
Quite obviously the individual flowers look quite different than the overall stem does .

Thanks for the flower photos, John! There are several miniatures on our list that grow that tall. Minnow, Sun Disc, Sundial. Love the colors of this seedling and Beesknees. The Seadream x Viridiflorus are lovely, too.
