I hope all our New Zealand friends are ok. Dave Adams . . how are you? And Sally Nash, in Nantuckett and others in New England, how are you coping? And in the Mid-Atlantic states, I hope nothing more than lots of rain. Mother Nature is not being kind to us.

Mid-Atlantic, at least on Maryland’s Eastern shore, got very little rain. Ocean City only got 9/100 of an inch and we are once again extremely dry. The biggest threat is the danger in the water from rip-tides etc. where over 500 people were rescued in O.C. last weekend. It will probably be more this weekend if they open the water up to swimming again.
At our house in eastern NC just on the mainland from the Wright Brothers Bridge going over to Kitty Hawk, NC, we received 5 inches plus of rain, and a lot of leaf and swig blow down. No damage from Earl.
