sprouting

I began watering my pots of bulbs (that I keep dry over the summer) about the first week in September.  I watered sparingly, because it was unusually hot.  Now it’s below normal temperatures, and we had a bit of rain yesterday.  Not much, but it did wet the top of the ground.  This morning there are green shoots coming up on pots of N. miniatus, two of Harold’s fall-blooming daffs (one is a miniatus cross, the other an elegans x Gloriosus cross), and on the pot of ‘Spoirot’.  So . . .another season begins.  :-)
