Your idea of putting the photos and original letter on the Daffnet server (to see if anyone has ever seen anything like my flower) sounds like a good idea. You can include my photos and letter. I live in south-eastern Australia, in a cool-temperate “Mediterranean-type” zone (wet, cold winters – only very occasionally do we go below freezing – zero degrees Celsius in the winter; our summers are hot and dry, into the high 30’s Celsius) – like the climate of San Francisco I imagine.
