South Island local show blooms

Hi Everybody

The season is over for me here in Dunedin so I now have some time to post some photos from the local shows.

The Dunedin Spring Show was held on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of September. The champion bloom was an oldie Kinghorn 1Y-Y and was exhibited by Ron Abernethy.

The local Te Anau show was held in conjunction with the South Island National Show on the weekend of the 25th September. The champion bloom Helen O’More 4 Y-R was exhibited by Bob Gordon a local Dunedin grower.

The last show for the season was the Catlin’s Horticultural Society Spring show which was held on the weekend of 2nd October. The champion bloom here was again Helen O’More but this time Noeline McLaren was the exhibitor. It won by a whisker from a seedling that I exhibited. The seedlings breeding is ((Red Ember x Trudy May) x Archduart) x Kasia.

Also at the Catlin’s show was this exquisite cyclamineus which won the best miniature at the show.

Enjoy

Cheers
