Planting daffodils in containers

Hi,
 
I have about 150 daffodil bulbs (I'm sorry, but I don't know what variety they are) that I would like to plant in large planters in the spring. I'm wondering if I should plant them now and store the barrels someplace cool or if I should store the bulbs in bags.
 
I live in zone 5 (Ohio).
 
I'm an avid gardener, but I don't know much about daffodils.

  1. Hi Kate,
    I’d plant them now, and store the barrels someplace cool, maybe an unheated garage.  Then bring the barrels outside when bulbs start growing outside.
