to Genes of daffodils used to create “Golden Rice”

Hello Keith,

Many thanks for the link and reminding everyone of the huge progress of biotechnologies in humanitarian efforts for suffering mankind.

Many scientists are driven in their work by beautiful ideals and the hope that their results will contribute to a better life on this planet. It is wonderful that international organizations and illuminated people back the efforts in the genetic enhancement of the nutritional properties of foods for poor countries.

Personally I feel happy that genes from daffodils are present in the game, although I am unable to contribute actively being now retired from biotechnological research. It is a pity that in extremists are still trying to slow down scientific progress even in fields of direct importance for human well being.

 Kind regards,

  Henry (Rome)
