Search for Image of color code zones

Everyone, I am searching for an drawing or image that I can print out to illustrate the color code zones for the perianth and the corona.  In our Handbook on p. 6 it lists perianth as outer, mid-zone and base and the corona has base, mid-zone and rim.  This visual would help the new students understand the color code system, especially when when it might involve all of those zones.  Does anyone have such a drawing or image that they could email me or mail me?

Any help would be appreciated, Carolyn Hawkins, ADS Judging Schools Chairman

  1. Hello Carolyn,

You will find an excellent illustrated description of colour codes on the NDSNZ Website http://www.daffodil.org.nz.  Go to daffodil classifications on the tool bar and then scroll to the bottom where you will find a photo of Kiwi Happy Prince which illustrates colour codes.  Hope this helps.  It was developed by our Webmaster, none other than the admirable Nancy T.

And while you are on the website have a look at the photos of the premier and champion blooms at our major shows!

    Cheers,

    Peter

PS We are still lifting, gave up yesterday – temps went way above 30 degrees C. – too hot for us! We hit the swimming pool instead! Cooler this morning so it’s an early start. Peter
