snow in Southaven, Mississippi

Southaven is 200 miles north of Jackson, Mississippi, I got the snow Ted Snazelle was expecting Sunday night. This probably pales in comparison to what you in the northeast have endured, but a pretty big snow for Mississippi.
The daffodils had better get in high gear if they want to go to the National Convention in Jackson this spring. Less than 2 months now.
Have enclosed photos of my front yard and driveway. Seedling beds are in next post, also  photo of beds last spring.
Regards,
Larry

  1. Larry. Having visited your home, I am wondering if you have to plow the road to get there. Do they even have plows in your area? If not I'lll try and get one to you. Being the same age, I know that drive is too long for a shovel. Denis

  2. NBC just reported that there is snow on the ground in every state in the continental United States save Florida.

  3. I heard on the news today that every state in the U.S. except Florida has snow somewhere.  The northeast got hit with a “Weather Bomb” of 15+ inches of snow.  Snow in parts of Europe that don’t usually get it.  And there are serious floods in Australia, in Queensland.  Seems like Mother Nature is unhappy these days.  Hope everyone is coping, and avoiding serious danger.

Mary Lou, where we have about 3.5 additional inches of fresh snow.

  4. Florida can have our snow.  And cold.  And leafless, grey landscapes.  I’m ready for spring!

  5. G’day All,
Here in Australia we have 3 states with serious flooding. Queensland has been the worst with loss of life, many people still missing and a major city  Brisbane with 15ft of water through the main CBD and thousands of people relocated and will go back to next to nothing as the water rose so rapidly they had no warning.
Here where I live west of Sydney in the Blue Mountains I still have foliage on Camelot daffodils, five months after they flowered. The foliage of Erlicheer died down last week. It is mid summer here and it was only a few weeks back when we had a fall of snow.
