Hi Daffnetters ..
A few thoughts and pictures on staging the glads and daffs ..
In the U S A , where I think you mostly use tube , this may not
be quite as relevant as at shows with 3 tiered staging ..
I struggled to move the files / pics around but finally sorted it .
Because of their length and size , the glads are traditionally staged
off center from the next tier — more of the bloom is visible ..
Wayne had 6 great blooms in his winning 6 — staged as usual
– top 3 , middle 2 , bottom 1 .
I noticed a few growers using this style of staging at the 2010 N I National
at Palmerston .Sorry , I didn,t note the growers / exhibitors ..
The 6 vases of 3 blooms included 3 vases of Doubles .
They are all together on the top shelf — staged 3 2 1
The large class of 12 singles are normally 3 rows by 4 vases ..
This is 5 – 4 – 3 ..
Count the number of yellow back flowers and the white backs .
Did this style help display the imbalance , ??
I know it works well for glads .
Daffs ?? — not so sure , but I have used it in 6 vase seedling class .
Sometimes it seems to show a lot of daff vases .
Your thoughts — …
Cheers John ..
