V04-85 Triandrus intra species cross

This is a cross of N. triandrus v. pulchellus x N. triandrus aurantiacas. There is not a hint of orange in any of the progeny. Mid yellow on opening fading to white. Only a very few of the seedlings have two flowers per stem (had hoped for more) with a high percentage of single flowers as in the pollen parent. Incredibly, unexplainably, the whole cross is quite early which is unlike both parents. The seedlings are season 1-2 but the parents are both mid season 4. Several seedlings have very tiny flowers and are only reaching 4″ to 5″ in height. These are now flowering for the second or third year. In general, the entire grex grows strongly with good vigor.
