The Jackson convention was my first daffodil meeting of any type. What a memorable experience! I want to especially thank the officers, the Kridlers, the Hoars, Ian and Mike, John Beck, Celia, the Becks, Jason, and everyone else for being so friendly. The garden tours were unforgettable also. I am so glad that I attended.
My bulbs are nearly bloomed out. Twin Sisters is yet to bud, but Geranium is finishing in the heat. Louisiana weather has been unbearable. Low to mid 80s and not a drop of rain. I am watering some of the big trees as this drought has continued for months. While many of you have had record rains and snow, just remember that some of the deep south is burning up. There were 5 escaped fires in my parish yesterday, and firefighters are taxed to the max. It is a great concern as I have a natural style landscape. The lake that I live on is dropping already. The levels are at record lows for its 40 year existence. This means a great weed problem until the levels rise.
Thanks for making me feel welcome. Annette Parker

  1. Hope we see you at the convention next year. Yep weather is unpredictable these days. We had bad hail in Southern California last week that shredded the flowers and we lost a very rare tree to the wind in the storm. Harold
