Conspicuus and Conspicuus# confused (again)

Still working on and updating records and tags.  Years ago I bought a daff
named Barrii Conspicuus (don’t remember the exact on line source).

I see it is 3Y-YYO and a synonym of Conspicuus.

When I go to Daffseek Conspicuus (#) I see it is listed as a Dwarf…ie
less than 32.5 cm (12.8 in).
I have had this a while and it has always been quite tall and this year
the blooms ranged from about 20″ to 24″.  Does this historic maybe consistently
just get taller than dwarf, and once again, the height is just whatever the
hybridizer lists it as?  It has multiplied quite well, so must really like where it is planted.

tia again.

  1. Sue:
I’d call it a borderline standard.  It often hits about 12″ here or above (and is in fact blooming now).  20″ – 24″ is pretty tall though.  Is it in high mulch/dead grass or other conditions that may make it excel in height?  If not, you should probably put a couple pictures up so the historic-interested members can have a look at it.
