Photo file size

Donna and all,
As we live in a “rural” area, we do not have access to fast internet (DSL and the like) so I am quite sensitive regarding both download/upload times. I try and process each photo to arrive at a file size of around 70k. It seems to be a balance between size and capacity here. My sense is that we have many DaffNet members both in the US and overseas that may well be in the same situation.
My guess is that as the new “unlimited” data plans (which clearly have download limits although they are called unlimited) from all the major carriers are implemented file sizes will become of critical importance as many of us will reach these new limits quite quickly. I do believe that both cost and download sizes will cause many of us extreme problems (read: many more dollars monthly for less capacity).
Possibly Ben or Nancy might comment on this and give us all some perspective of how these new data plans might affect DaffNet and our ability to post photos?
I would be most interested in arriving at an optimum size that would fit everyones needs and situation. Thanks for the suggestion! Steve
