Hello,

Today I was attracted by a strong buzzing noise to a daffodil leaf at grass level.

I thus could watch the mating of large Narcissus flies and I was really surprised by the loud and frenetic happening.

Has anybody seen this too?

Unfortunately I had no camera nor recorder at hand and it only lasted a minute or two. Neither did I have an insecticide spray, so the consequences will be unavoidable.

Thanks to anybody who might be able to tell me that my observation is wrong.
