Hello Everyone, some more blooms from the National Daffodil Society South Island Show.
Hoot Owl from Pleasant Valley Daffodils is a lovely round poet raised by the late Max Hamilton.
Trena was Premier Div 6W – didn’t quite reach the height of Champion Bloom as it did in the North Island Show but still a very good flower for Malroze – same exhibitor as up north, different bloom.
The double, Kiwi Magic, is the Premier Children’s Bloom for new NDS member, Jack Inwood. Jack will be a force to reckon with in the future and comes from a keen daffodil growing family who will no doubt give him plenty of encouragement. I saw him with a big list of daffodils that he would like for his collection. Well done Jack!
