The snow storms in the Northern USA are a worry. A change from Keith’s drought.
We still have some pickable daffodil flowers here, even in November.
On our front roadside we have this kowhai flowering. The kowhai is our national flower and is sometimes used in the name of golden daffodils in New Zealand. The kowhai tree is usually very straggly but his one has a lovely conformation and is a mass of blooms. We don’t often get native birds at our place and have been thrilled to have bellbirds feeding on the tree. To hear their bell like song in the garden is a real thrill.
