response about RHS Yearbook

Since posting the announcement about the RHS 2011 Yearbook, my inbox runneth
over with questions. So I am going to attempt to answer most of your
questions here, rather than so many individual replies. Consider this a
response to FAQs.

First, here is the standing order list which shows the last name, the state,

If you are on this list, I will automatically send you an RHS Yearbook
unless you notify me now, that you wish to cease to be on the standing order
list. I will enclose an invoice in the package. Please look for it. You
can send payment at that time, and prompt payment is appreciated. Checks
are made payable to ADS and mailed to the address at the end of this email.
You do not need to send payment right now. You could also pay on the
webstore, just send me an email and let me know you have done that, so I
don’t think you are ordering another Yearbook. The webstore address is at
the end of this email.

If you are not on the above list, please send payment immediately to reserve
your copy. A $24 check works, or an order on the ADS webstore will also
work. If you really enjoy the Yearbook, and want to be added to the
standing order list, please send me an email requesting to be added.

The price is $24 which includes my shipping it to you in the USA. Those
living in the state of GA, will need to pay 7% sales tax. International
orders should check with me about the extra high cost of mailing the
publication to you. It is my understanding that this publication can also
be ordered direct from the RHS website.

Please be patient as I get these sent out to all. It takes a long time to
process all the invoices, mailing labels, and make the many trips to the
USPO. I assure you that I get it all done just as fast as possible.

I have been asked, what is the RHS Yearbook? Here is a succinct answer from
our ADS webstore: Softbound annual with emphasis on daffodils. Considered
a must have by most serious daffodil growers, exhibitors, and hybridzers.
The publication is known as the Daffodil, Snowdrop and Tulip Yearbook 2011.
It is an annual publication of the Royal Horticultural Society and has been
published for many, many years. This year’s publication has 128 pages. I
am often asked how much of the content is devoted to daffodils. Thirty
pages are devoted totally to daffodils. Many other pages include daffodil
show reports, and other info relevant to daffodils. It is my opinion that
the publication has more info about daffodils, than it does snowdrops and
tulips. The articles about daffodils are written by notable experts. The
color photographs are superb.

There is usually a review of the RHS Yearbook in each DEC issue of the
Daffodil Journal.

I hope this will answer most of your questions.
