This is a photo I took last week of an area in the Christchurch CBD that was damaged by Canterbury earthquakes. Looking at the bottom left, is Cashel Street which leads from the ‘Bridge of Remembrance’. The building bottom right, is Ballantynes Department Store, which has been closed since the 22nd February earthquake, it reopened 29th October. Many of you may have visited this store while in Christchurch. The Street on the right of Ballantyne’s is Colombo Street, top of photo is Hereford Street. The coloured boxes are being used for retail.
