Christmas Daffodils from Mississippi – First

Friends,

I have been out of town for six days and just came home yesterday (Thursday).  According to my recording rain gauge, we had over two inches of rain shortly before we came home.  Thus, the daffodils you will see in the pictures that follow are all from my daffodil planting and took a beating from the heavy rain. The first photo is of ‘Marisol’ 8 W-O William R.P. Welch.  Additional photos to follow are of ‘Tequila Sunrise Group’ 12 Y-O (Harold Koopowitz), ‘Rua’ 8 W-W (opens 8 W-Y) William R.P. Welch, ‘Toru’ 8 W-W (opens 8 W-Y) William R.P. Welch, and  ‘New Glory’ 8 W-Y William R.P. Welch.  “Toru” and “Rua” were hybridized by William R.P. Welch who then sent the seed to the late Max Hamilton of New Zealand who flowered both ‘Rua’ and ‘Toru’ along with a third one called ‘Tahi’ 8 W-W.

Merry Christmas!
