Below are two photos of fall/winter blooming bulbocodiums.
The first is a pot of seed raised Narcissus cantabricus foliosus from seed sent by my friend, late (much missed!!!) Delia Bankhead.
The second photo is of V99-32-12. It is an advanced bulbocodium cross of: [(obesus x Nylon group) x N. c. foliosus ‘Peter Watkin’] x ‘Julia Jane’. The first set of brackets was raised by the late Ed Zinkowski. I crossed a selection of this grex with ‘Julia Jane’ which resulted in the pictured selection. Not as blindingly white as N. c. foliosus but much larger, rounder, vigorous and much more cold tolerant.
