to Winter colour

Thanks Mary Lou!

This year this Dahlia imperialis grew to over 10 feet. It was planted there
three years ago (next to a Diospyros kaki). Last year it suffered from
relatively intense and particularly sudden frost, but this year it is happy
with the mild day temperatures and cool nights. Also our Hydrangea arborea
likes that. It flowered in June and July and the inflorescences enjoyed the
weather until late November and are still nice indoors now:

Kind regards and good wishes

Henry, that’s beautiful! I’ve never seen a dahlia like that! How tall is
it? And your garden looks lovely.
