Steve Vinisky sent me a bulb of ‘Yuletide’ late last fall. It began opening yesterday, and looks nice. It opens this nice clear white.

I just noticed there is no photo of this one on Daffseek, so glad you got its picture, Mary Lou! It’s very nice! I was looking it up for more information. I see it is a Fall or Autumn Blooming one. Is this growing in a pot and coming indoors on cold nights?

John tells me it’s a fall or autumn blooming hybrid, bred from Grand Monarch x Emerald Sea. Yes, it’s growing in a pot, coming indoors on cold nights. For the upcoming week, if the weatherman is correct, it will probably be staying indoors under lights. The bulbs are newly imported this year, and when they’re fully acclimated I suspect they will probably bloom in October.
