Seedlings from viridiflorus – XI

DaffNetters,

The last seedling for today.

A great attribute of viridiflorus progeny is their long period of
bloom. This vase of three was cut before the Livermore Show last year
and entered there. On Sunday afternoon after the show closed, I took
the blooms home and put them into the fridge. On Wednesday evening, I
dry-packed them along with my other entries and on Thursday took them
on the flights to the Jackson National as extra luggage (paid the
surcharge!). The box arrived upside down in the carousel. At the
show, they were restaged and held up nicely through that show,
winning the Vase of Three by Hybridizer. (Okay, so there was no
competition in that class!)

Starry daffodils don’t enthrall Judges, but the public likes them.

This photo is the way they looked after judging in Livermore
California. See the next slide for how they looked after judging a
week later at Jackson Mississippi.
