Same observations here on Tazettas in Gloucester Virginia. The foliage for these cultivars are higher than previous years because it has been unseasonable warm. Today, the temperature are more winter like with nights into the 20s. Happy New Year to all, Ceci

Ceci and Janet,
I have noted that tazetta’s in Zone 7 will quiet often put up early foliage
only to have it frost bitten. If it did not put up a stem of buds, more
than likely it will come back in the spring and bloom well. Unfortunately
your foliage in the Spring will look as ragged as the cartoon character
“Bill the Cat” that had already had 11 lives. LOL
