blooming today

Friends,

This little tazetta is blooming in the open ground. I grew it in a pot for several years, and it increased enough that I planted it in the garden. The florets are about the same size as N. dubius. It’s a seedling from Lawrence Trevanion, number 02/4TA, 8 Y-Y. Maybe Lawrence will tell us the breeding. I don’t know if it’s fertile, but I think I’ll put dubius pollen on it.

  1. John Reed’s ‘Captain America’ is blooming today. The color jumps out at you across the garden. Were it not for a few nicks, it would be going to our show on Saturday.
