In response to David Adams question for Vicki regarding the narcissus growing at Greenwood Gardens in New Jersey. My guess would be that it is Lucifer (2W-YOO 1890). I saved a photo of it that Paul Botting had sent via daffnet from the Gloucester VA Daffodil Show on 3/29/2010. It looked very similar to one I had as a child in McCormick County, SC. It grew wild there in waste places and old home sites, but I haven’t seen any there in decades now.
Can anyone tell me if I am right? I wouldn’t mind having a bulb or two if I could find it again.
