Who needs petals with trumpets like these?
For more than five weeks these flowers of ‘Prime Target’ have been in my fridge – they have just failed to make it to our local show on Saturday.
Outside the flowers seem to be almost totally sunproof. Why is it that orange/red trumpet daffodils, whether with yellow or white perianths, seem to be generally more sun resistant than their Div. 2 counterparts? It’s a puzzle I have not researched but I am glad it is so.
