Hello Folks,
Now that we are nearly finished our enjoyment of the Northern shows it is time to think about enjoying the South in September.
For those of you who are travelling independently of the official tour to the 2012 World Convention I would invite you to visit the Christchurch Show on the way to Dunedin.
Christchurch is only four and a half hours from Dunedin and our show is on Saturday and Sunday September 22nd and 23rd. This show is combined with the New Zealand Alpine Garden Society and the Rhododendron Society. The large hall is filled with interest and visual impact. A chance to enjoy some very rare plants amongst others. I would recommend a trip down the West Coast, through the Haast Pass and on to Dunedin after the weekend.
For those staying after the Convention we have the Woodend Show on Saturday 6th October. This is a community show which includes the traditional cooking, craft, cut flowers, blokes classes and photography. As Woodend is only 20 minutes from the Christchurch you can comfortably visit the show before flying out to Auckland to begin your journey home.
If you do intend to accept this invitation please advise me so that we can ensure catering during your time here and help with transport if required.
