Hi Daffnetters, A few nice flowers are now giving us some winter pleasure. John Hunter has just posted some of his many Emerald Sea seedlings. I am fortunate to have a few of these charming and very different flowers. Most show their Emerald Sea parentage and also have a very sweet Jonquilla fragrance.
Emerald Monarch ( Grand Monarch — x — Emerald Sea )is a truly beautifulflower. The best of both parents perhaps — the haunting green eye from E. S. and the improved perianth, that only reflects a little, from G M. The flower is a very clean white; I struggled to capture it in the images. Beautiful.
