Hello All This is the first flower from this cross. Kiwi Sunset x F 76-3. F 76-3 is one of my best June blooming 1Y-Ys and has been widely used to seek improved form and quality in winter blooming yellows. You will note that Kiwi Sunset is the seed parent. Not easy to get as only one in hundred or more blooms has a pistil and very few of those set seed and then the 4 or 5 year wait. But it is worth the wait!!! I am picking that this may improve as the bulb multiplies in numbers and size. It flowers about a month before Kiwi Sunset and a month after F 76-3 and about the same time as John McLennan’s splendid Early Orbit (2nd year down) Best of all I have found a few pollen yielding anthers Yeeeharr !!!
