This little tulip-like gem (about 8-10 inches tall) was spotted on a recent garden visit – I suspect it is a form of or a near relative of the Californian poppy, at least that’s what the foliage looked like.
Can anyone please advise it’s true name and where seed may be obtained?

Steve Hampson thinks that it is Escholtzia caespitosa yes a relative of the California poppy.
