Friends, please be advised that the mailing service for our Journal, which is located in Jackson, MS, made an error on our SEP Journal mailing. They used the JUN 2012 Journal mailing data, rather than the SEP data, which I sent them on 7 SEP. I have had three inquiries from ADS members about this, and I knew something was very wrong.
INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS, THIS WILL NOT AFFECT YOU, AS YOUR JOURNALS ARE MAILED VIA DHL GLOBAL.
For ADS members residing in the US, this means that some of you will have incorrect dues paid thru dates on the back of your SEP Journals.
The mailing service wanted to know what could they do to make amends? Friends, I’ve been known to drive a hard bargain J. I asked if they would pay for a dues mailing envelope to go into (or be packaged along with) our JUN 2013 Journal. This pre-addressed printed envelope would trigger dues payments and remind and educate members of the JUL 1 2013 dues increase. The mailing service has agreed to do all this at their expense and sends profuse apologies.
If you paid your renewal dues this summer and feel your dues paid thru date is in error, please send me an email so I can verify that I did receive your dues, and resolve your concerns.
I’m sorry this has happened, but ADS will receive a very nice benefit next summer, when we really need it, due to the dues increase.
