Things seem to be fairly quiet on daffnet now so i’ll try and send a couple of photos of some flowers in bloom with me now. A few years ago I raised some n romieuxii seed from the alpine society. When they flowered there were some white seedlings among the yellow ones. I crossed the white ones and the first flower has appeared after 3 years. (there is another in bud).
I also have a flower of n viridiflorus from a bulb a friend gave me. I would welcome advice on caring for this species here in N Ireland ie minimum winter temp and summer treatment.
Hi Derrick,
Some beautiful photos. Very impressive.

Derrick:
As it is still November your flowers are official Autumn Blooming. Easy way to reflower N. viridiflorus is to keep the pot dry over the summer and place it in a warm spot. E.A. Bowles would hang the pot high in the eaves of his greenhouse for the summer. More easily get a propagation heating pad and place the pot upon it and keep it at 75F for several months. Also does not hurt to feed in with a tomato fertilizer occasionally during the growing season.
